A resurgent the Russian player won his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally separating with former coach Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from March of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my children together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular emotional displays on court had led observers to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was finished.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the concluding five games to go ahead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his initial tour title, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He saved 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net, with his opponent unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
